What is the general opinion on this SAK? Is it a popular model? I'm sort of new to the SAK world and got into it purely because my uncle gave me one (a BSA edition mechanic, I think, I don't know how old). Anyway, I really liked the knife but I just wanted a few other tools, so I think I'm going to order a Workchamp. One question: how good are the button locks? Do they need a lot of maintenance, or are they good?
Thanks.

It's a big jump from a Mechanic (I did not know they had a BSA version) to the WorkChamp! Workchamp has great tool selection, but it is quite thick. Depending on your needs, Atlas or Tradesman may be sufficient. The slide lock works well and does not require any maintenance, as long as you keep it clean.

Thanks.
I've considered the Atlas and the Tradesman, but I love me some scissors and pliers, as well as the metal file and wood saw, and the extended phillips driver.

My favorites are the Tinker and the Huntsman. Easy to maintain and easy to sharpen.

Are you looking for the locking blade? If not I recommend the Deluxe Tinker it has the pliers, scissors, and a Phillips on the back spring instead of a corkscrew.
