Anyone have experience in working with G-10 to make knives? I would like to know what I should use to cut it and sand it and if it is relatively simple to use.

You can find alot more info on this in the shop talk forum. Its under general just below this one.

My experience with G10 is limited to one knife so far but I like the stuff pretty well. It can be worked by hand or with power tools. Its soft in comparison to some other handle materials but very tough and fibrous. It will be hard on hacksaw or bandsaw blades, but will still cut pretty easily and sand pretty easily. The dust and fumes from sanding it, or burning it on a saw or sander are really hard on your lungs. So you'll want to take that into acount and get a dust mask or respirator.
Other than that its easy. It finishes well with just handing sanding. Start out with something fairly coarse and progressively move to finer grits until you get the finish you want. I like to profile it with about 80 grit on the belt and disc sander, then finish shaping with a 120 grit belt. Then I hand sand it with 120,150,220,and 400. If you can, get something to use between 220 and 400 as it will be less work when you get to the 400. Wipe the handle down with wet cloth as you work, it will make the scratches show up so you can tell what needs more work.

Matt, you should probably use a real respirator and not a dust mask. The simple dust masks usually have a little warning sticker on them saying that they don't really protect your lungs. Not too reassuring. I'd wear the actual respirator and not get silicosis or something.
