i try to sharpen at all the local guns shows in my area (sharpening)
many times we also tighten all the loose screws in scales and belt clips, but MANY have missing screws and want us to replace.

is there such a creature as an assorted screws for pocket knives?

My impression is, "not really, if at all", based on all the variations I've seen between production knives and their hardware. I've never had any luck trying to find generic or 'standard' replacements for such screws, except directly from the manufacturer of the knife itself. And even that's not a guarantee, if the knife is old or obsoleted by the manufacturer. You might get lucky and find something that works, on occasion. But I get the impression that's a rare occurrance.

I've had the best luck only in circumstances where I've directly asked the manufacturer (nicely, politely) if replacement screws were available. In the cases when they were, I was impressed with their generosity in mailing them to me, in quantity greater than what I asked for, for no charge (not even for postage). I've read somewhere, that some mfrs. do this as a means to build customer loyalty, and I'm convinced that's a great idea, so long as too many don't take dishonest advantage of them. It left a big impression on me.
