I have a question I am working on a deal for a like new BM E. Is there demand for the knives like the SHBM,s or are they just not a popular. I rarely see them pop up on the exchange and the e handle stuff usually goes pretty fast for a pretty penny. I was just wondering.

I wouldn't pay more than $50 for one, in fact I'll give you $55 for one if you find it. ;)

Well the BM-E's never seem to go for that much compared to the other E's. The SH-E, BA-E and NO-E seem to be worth more for how small they are. So if you are looking to make a buck, probably not a good choice. However, if you are looking to get it as a hard use knife then it is worth it and a very good knife.

no one likes the sh's. they are terrible. if you are the unfortunate recipient of one, let me know, i have the remedy.

Earlier this year I gave $420 for a ZTBM with the ergo handle that is sweet! Too much $? I don't know but I won't part with it!

Wow, good score, they were the 3/16" thick, much quicker knife than a stock BM-E.

one of my 'to the grave' knives is a BM-E variant !

Contrary to these hogs, the letter SH are a BIG deal when describing a knife. SHBM, SHSH, SHBA.

Now that I've been nice to you, I should get first dibs on the SHBM. ;)

The BM-E is severely underated --- it's a great knife that can do anything well. Like Cobalt said, if you want a great user, go for it.

gunfreak101, if you mean that you have an SHBM, and wonder if they are valuable/desirable because you seldom see them change hands, then the answer is YES, they are very valuable/desirable. Do not deal one away until you do your homework and make sure you are getting fairly compensated.

If you have one, post some good pictures so that the experts here can help determine it's worth.

Then sell it to ME. :D

I probably misunderstood, but if you have an SHBM, then you could probably get two standard BM-E's in trade:D

From ... someone like Cobalt! :D

And if he doesn't have the extra BM-Es today, I'm sure he can find them to trade for a SHBM.

all kidding aside, the shbm should be a keeper. unless you are trading it for another straight handle.
