Is working with CPM440V much more difficult than 440C?
Do you need special equipment?
Do you have any advise on working with it?

the V is for vanadium. it is a tougher steel, a bit harder to work but you don't need special tools, just sharp fresh belts. i belive it has been renamed to s60v?

The Crucible steel calls it "S60V", and the 420V now is S90V, they have another new steel, specially developed for knives, S30V, very good, but all this steels are hard to finish, you'd better have a good sand belt stock.
