I want to try my hand at nodding two folders. Both have titanium sides (from what I understand). I'd need to smooth out the flats to remove tooling marks before anodizing. Any special sanding belts I'd need? Any advise specifically related to working with Ti?

Thanks!

Hi Jester,

Im not a pro an only use titanium as liners. So for what its worth...

I like to work with titanium. Its not hard to work on other than it dulls everything fast. Its easy to saw with a hacksaw. Ceramic belts last longer. But others work fine to in my experience. You just need to change them faster.
One thing i noticed is that it doesnt conduct heat much. So it can get screaming hot where you grind it and be perfectly fine to hold it with your bare hands just an inch further. I had this happen mostly when my belt was dull.
Just use sharp tools and take youre time. It should work out fine.
