All of the video demos I've looked at are on drop points or clip points. How about hawkbills or recurves? Would an EdgePro or Sharpmaker be better on these? I am looking for easy, simple and user friendly. Fast is good but I have a few hawkbills and recurves that need attention.

Since the belts are rather narrow, you should be good! I have not tried it out myself though and as I mentioned before, you got to be very carefull not to ruin the heat treatment of the very apex. Since you will form a new apex with this thing (as opposed to "grind" close to an apex and do the rest by hand or on a slow belt with "mist"), you may heat the apex up too much therfore change the temper!
