workshop 3000 sharpner

Anyone used the workshop 3000 sharpner to sharpen knives? Is it worth buying or just continue sharpning using my belt grinder with high grit belts? I found one for sale locally new barely used with all the wheels and thingamajigs for $80.00. Rey in Texas

i would stick to the belt sander from what i have been told by a few people who bought one. if you want to get something to compliment your belt sander check into the paper wheels. you can use the slotted wheel to remove the burr you work up on the belt sander. here is a thread i started on the wheels. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=578787
