There is something solid and pure about all metal knives but a little sweat or grease on the handle and they can feel slippery and unsure. Especially flipper types with opening assist design where you have to pull your fingers away from the blade plus move your index finger all the way to the back. Just doesn't leave much hanging on to the knife.
Needs more grip, but not so much that it interferes with the removal and replacement of the knife in the pocket. So...I noticed where the thumb pad sat on the knife during the opening process and placed a little oval of non-skid tape there. Instant grip! I was amazed at what a difference it made in how secure the knife now feels when I open it.
Cheap and easy.
