Whilst I'm a bit of a knife collector my specialisation is books on knives. Just knives and just books. No catalogues, no bayonets, no swords etc.

I've been searching and buying stuff for nearly 20 years and recently I've been pondering whether this collection may be the worlds largest private niche books on knives collection? I've just over 500 different titles and would love to hook up with another collector who has more. So we can swap titles and see if there's anything I'm missing. If you don't know it exists you can't search it out!!!!

Anyway what do you guys think, can I claim that title????

Impressive. I own two. Both regarding Randall Made knives, so there's that.

You could post a spread sheet so everyone could start hunting...

Very Impressive. Do you have a copy of The African Blade written by Owen Wood and Dewald Reiners about the Knifemakers Guild Of South Africa?
There was also a later book about the South African Guild which if memory serves was published around 2007.

Yes I have the first one. Would be interested to know the title of the second if possible.

I say publicly proclaim you hold the record. It’s up to someone else to prove otherwise.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your world record collection.
Yes that does seem like a sound strategy.

And thank you for your congratulations and recognition.

Excellent. A couple of my knives are in that one.

I'm away just now, when I'm home I'll find it for you and PM you.

I've got quite a few that I've bought over the years, and also quite a few that I haven't found for sale yet (or they are just too expensive). I'll have to compare my list to your site and see if I have any that you don't have yet.

Yes please.

Well I was bored during a meeting I was supposed to be listening to and looked for books that I have that are missing. It's hard to read every title so I can't always tell. I don't see "Spirit of the Sword" by Shackleford. I also didn't find "Case: The First 100 Years" by Giles but I think it might be upright in the row above all the Knives annuals.
