Worn carbonation on the scale

My old sebenza has zero left on it . It has about a dine thickness left until it would bottom out . I don't want a replacement scale. If it is bone dry locks fairly decent .
Over the years I have settled on simple mineral oil as a lubricant for it . Remarkably it has no blade play at all . Only the lanyard pin has a very sight amount. Any thoughts on this treasure would be appreciated. Thank you .

I believe (or it at least that is what my memory says?)the lock face is heat treated, not carbonized. If so you would need to contact CRK to see if anything can be done, other than a scale replacemdnt, to solve your particular problem. They have redone the lockface heat treat on a knife for me, and it then required redoing the bead blasting.

Thank you i believe you are right on the harding, not carbonation. They did respond and ask for pictures. I know a man shouldn't love a knife like this it was a 60th day present from my daughters. I might try moving the stop pin a little to find a fresh spot. The blade has a spot were it shows hitting the pin . It was my great privilege to show Ann and Tim at blade this year . They both smiled at the old gem. I greaw up around repairman not parts replacing
