Worst cut you've recieved.

Today on my way home I took a shortcut through some "woods". I happened to see a vine hanging from a tree. I heard somewhere that these vines contain water, so I took out my Leatherman Squirt, wanting to see if the vine did indeed contain water. While I was cutting into the vine the knife closed on my finger, slicing deep into the flesh and even going though part of my nail. I felt the blade hit my bone on the way in. OUCH. Never trust non-locking knives.

So whats the worst injury you've recieved from one of your knives?
 
My left fore finger the cuticle part on the outside of my finger ( right side)
I have sliced it 3 times now. one time it was so deep and bad that I had it stitched..and bandaged for what seemed like forever... It didnt want to heal... I still have a weid feeling in that part of my finger. I apparently damaged the nerve there.

I'll get in at the top of this thread... worst cut with a knife was by a folder that snapped shut across my right index finger through the nail down to the bone. I was young... I was 'drilling' and pushing pretty hard. I said it before that one of the hardest things I ever did was unfold that knife.

Then there was the one that stabbed me very deep just below back pocket level when I fell on a pack which contained the un-sheathed blade. I was almost 'nowhere' and came close to staying there. Apparently there is a lot of blood in that region of the body that readily leaks out. My pants were soaked to the point of run-off. I sat on the wound to stop the flow and eventually tied a belt hard across the cut and made my way out to help several miles upriver. Acording to my wife I have a cute little scar back there....;)
