Here's what I know. They put their name on this knife:
WORTH / B. WORTH AND SONS / CUTLERS,SHEFFIELD / SHEAR STEEL
That mark likely predates 1891 (it doesn't say "England"), and the blade tang tapers within the handle. Goins dates it c. 1873-1953. That places it between 1893 and 1891. I'd like to see photos of your hatchet. T-A
Hi Guys Found this, I don't think is very fancy but for $3 bucks is ok. I think it says WortH on it. It was "hang" with just a small metal wedge, so I think was not original. It was very easy to pull it out. Does anyone know here it can come from? Thanks in advance
