Bought these at a surplus store while visiting my soon to be new state of N. Carolina. Only a dollar each and figured i would tinker with the broken one on the left.

I know some in here take them apart thought i could take a baby step and take this one apart. Just don’t know where or if i can get those parts?

Hi David, what part of NC you coming to, if you don’t mind my asking?

Morganton for work. Looking in Lenoir, Hickory, Granite Falls and Mountain View for a house. Its been exhausting.

Dag gum another one of those 3 knives broke?? I was washing them and moving the parts and it just snapped

Anyone know what’s causing these to snap. I’m down to one good one of the 3 i bought for $1.25 each. $4 for one is still good just don’t want the last one to break. Will probably take the nicer scales from the broken one and put it on the last good one.

Probably just age, and bad luck. Sucks to be down two. As far as parts, not much available in the way of actual backsprings and such that I am aware of. Though if you disassemble them, the scissors do work well for small first aid kits. Some guys do really like the screw-pivot scissors for mods too, so might be worth the envelope for someone.

Thanks. I think when I opened the knife all the way then tried to close the scissors it put too much pressure on the spring. Live and learn.

David, be vary careful with lobster pattern knives and opening all the blades at one time. On the other hand, opening all the blades at one time on any slip joint is not a good thing.
