Worth keeping?

As I mentioned before, it seems like the more I get into knives, the fewer I seem to have in my knife case.

To that end, I was toying with "culling" some out. They're great knives, but I just don't see myself using them for anything, and I'm not sure there's any point in keeping them. Several are discontinued.

Do you think they're worth keeping simply as "collectible", or any suggestions on interesting uses for them? I seem to go back and forth between putting most of my knives in the case, and spreading them out (coat pockets, glove boxes, backpacks) to places I _might_ need them someday, although I've never actually needed them -- I just use the one in my pocket.

Specifically, I'm thinking of:
MT Mini-Socom
MT Anopeen M-UDT
Al Mar "Backup"
BM Ascent
Kershaw DWO II
Colt M16

Mike, I think at some point in time one has to decide if he's going to be a collector or simply a user of the knives he's unavoidably ammassed because of his addiction. If your're going to be a collector, you're probably better off to narrow your quest to a specific thing, e.g. Remington Bullet knives pre-1982, which should increase in value if you ever decide to sell...but do so only if that's the particular knife you enjoy most. OTOH, if you're going to use your knives, sell or trade the ones you're not going to use. If you can trade two non-users for one knife you will use, even if you're taking a $50 beating, you made out very well, IMO.

I feel your pain, and I am willing to go out on a limb to offer you some assistance in yout time of need.

Send them to me, I will provide a good home.
