Worth the wait for refurb?

Oh yeah. I waited the max 8 weeks, but it arrived today looking brand new, with a tube of magic lube and two (2!!) t shirts. Dead chuffed, as the Brits would say!

8 weeks is a long time to be without one of your CRKs..... Luckily I have backups for when I have to send one back:)

Well, most of us have extras so the wait isn't bad. The knives come back like new.

It looks great. Congratulations. I sent my Insingo in a few weeks ago and that image was a definite feel good.

What was wrong with it when you sent it in?

And did it change the color of the micarta back to original?

Mine are decidedly more green now than they were new, and I'd wait 8 weeks for them to go back to how they looked new if the spa will do that. They were exposed to indirect sunlight for 7 months and took a yellowish-greenish cast I do not like. I prefer the gray-black micarta this appears to be.

Looks great!

Micarta was restored to new when my knife was returned to me. I don't know if CRK would be able to reverse the effects of sun damage without replacing the micarta, but I'm sure they'd be able to tell you once they see the knife. Mine was new from a dealer last winter, but I was never happy with the edge on it and wasn't very successful in improving the edge. Fear of attacking such a valuable knife for sure. There were also carry marks on the Ti slabs and pocket clip that I wanted removed. Knife came back acceptably sharp and I've been able to refine it now so it cuts like its supposed to. Micarta looks brand new, as noted and all the marks are gone. No charge!

I send my edc CRK's in every couple of years for a refurb on a rotating basis. I know that some folks like the "worn" look on the titanium slabs, but to me it's almost like getting a new knife every couple of years. I just got my double-lug 21 and tanto 'Zaan back from the spa after about 7 weeks and it was definitely worth the time spent.

I can simi relate. I haven't seen my 25 in quite some time. Hoping to see it soon.
That was quite nice of them to include that.

After the wait it is totally worth it, during the wait is torturous. I usually just bead blast my own that way I don't have to be away form me precious!........sorry just got done watching Lord of the Rings with my son and that's all he is saying now, me precious.

Is the refurb usually quicker then the engraving because my 25 is going to take 12 weeks?

So after much wait; it's back... Worth it? Perhaps... Being down to one CRK; I think I will order another before I send a knife back, so that the wait won't be as bad.

I sent to CRK my new large 21 Insingo, Micarta Inlay to take advantage of their offer to let me also purchase a regular blade. It has been a couple of months and several other knives later. I'm not in a hurry, but I kind of lost interest and was contemplating selling it when it does get back. Then I spied a small plain jane 21, coin washed with a Tanto blade on the exchange. I can see it has been like a hot potato in many hands. Always wanted to check out a small and love Tantos. Warranty is probably shot, but it's a CRK and I had to admit to myself, that I miss the 21 even though I only had it for two days. My interest in CRK is rekindled, and I eagerly await the small Tanto.

Another Seller's image. Come to Poppa.

I've sent several Sebenzas back for refurbing over the years. I've always been delighted with the results and the charges.

Is that something CRK offers to anyone or did you just get lucky?
