Would a Buck 301 be too big for pocket carry compared to the 303?

In the front pocket of jeans the 301 size is as big as I like to carry, but it's ok. The 303 is smaller and lighter, I like the size for both carry and for whittling. Only one way to know for sure; buy the one that appeals most to you and give it a try. OH
 
I have had a 303 in my pocket for at least 35 years. I think it is about the right size.
 
301, is reasonable IMO, I can carry one comfortably in my front pocket, but I carry it next to my wallet in my front pocket.
 
For an EDC, Ilike the 303 but to whittle I have to have a 301. I'm not big on having allot of stuff in my front pockets, and a 301 is just too much when I have keys and coins there as well.
 
I carry a 307 in my front pocket, so a 301 would be no problem. If you get it and don't like it, give it to a good friend.
 
Well, most days I carry a Case Large Stockman in my right front pocket (suspended in a leather slip), so no a 301 is not too large for pocket carry especially if you carry it in a slip. Hangs out of the way along the side seam.
