I'm thinking about buying a new blade tech sheath and I found one for sale for my knife; however, it is for a serrated version of my knife. I have a plain edge version. Will the bladetech sheath still work for a plain edge knife? even though it was made for the serrated version. Thanks.

Would a kydex sheath made for a serrated knife fit a plain edge version?

Probably, but it would depend on the knife, different companies cut serrations differently. For instance Benchmade tends to remove a lot of blade width so I'd expect some wiggle when its sheathed, but Spyderco seems to keep most of the blade's width so it would be more snug. Either way though serrations are just cut into the blade, so the worst case would be a wiggly knife, but you'd probably still have good retention as the edge really shouldn't be contacting the sheath at all anyway.
