Would CRK make this?

I would like a mnandi in micarta with full bead blasted frame and a stonewashed blade. I'd take the pocket clip off. I want to be able to just throw it in my pocket and not worry about it getting scratched by keys and things. I think it would look good and be a great light duty EDC. I have 2 mnandi and I love them but I don't use them much as I don't want to rough them up. Do you thin CRK would make it?

A lot of us keep hoping for the "Tactical Mnandi", but so far it's not a prospect. I would like it in the brown Micarta that is used for the Nyala. Even better, I would like a "Large" brown Micarta Mnandi, with stone wash / bead blast, but that's never going to happen.......

I think it's a good idea. I certainly don't think they would lose any money on it. It would be a more casual gentleman folder. I think people would embrace the ability to just throw it in their pockets and go.

The way to go would be to talk it up to a dealer so they could request an exclusive in this configuration.

They don't do requests so they won't make it, as a one off anyway. It would be a rather nice knife though if they did. I have a Ti inlay Mnandi but micarta would a splendid inlay to have on a user. :)

wanna see it also!!!!

I'd love to see this also, especially with the brown micarta. However, I will say the wood inlays stand up to a lot of abuse. I have no qualms about throwing my box elder Mnandi in a pocket and carrying it all week. It's absorbed a bit of dye but is still looking great and there's no indication that it's being seriously damaged.

I would buy a micarta mnandi without hesitation. I hope CRK will offer one in the near future.

Thanks much for the nice words, people. It is indeed a mod and not factory made. :)

If I remember correctly he did it himself. It is a sweet looking knife!

You still have something sitting here too by the way.....;)

Here's a quick action shot of the old beast. :p

That might just be the most I've over desired a modification to a knife. Yep, definitely is. Very well done Haze! Bravo!

I agree.. what an eye-catcher… I'm not big on inlays , but the Ti's a winner!! Bart
