I put gas in my truck instead!!

What's the deal with the gas prices anyway?? I just spent $98 to fill up my truck, and to boot its a diesel which is the waste left over after producing petrol..

I could go on forever, but then no one would read my post:p

Anyhow what are the gas/diesel prices like in your neck of the woods??

and has anyone a good solid answer for this increase, yet again..!!

This Egyptian rage going on now isn't going to make things any better at the pump...

Anyways I think regular is like $3.16 a gallon as of yesterday in RI. I choose my destinations carefully.

$3.24 diesel in Tulsa... I think regular is like $2.89 or something..

I've been sitting at home the past couple weeks waiting for my truck to magically have fuel, but Obama's never came through for me yet..

its around 3.14 for petrol around here... (Really... petrol... been watching too much Top Gear)

God bless,
Adam

I drive a 03 cavalier that gets about 30 to the gallon still, and ride an 883 sportster that pushes around 60.

I sometimes forget which side of my car the fill port is.

Mh... 1.33 EUR for 1l diesel.. that's ~$5 a gallon... ;)

You could try to get some more efficient engines though - since you're not allowed to get above 65 (?) mph. :P

Here in the middle of NC it's about $3.06. I think the closer we get to electric cars we will see even higher prices. Big oil is trying to make every dime it can for now!:jerkit:

$2.90-something here last time I filled up. I need a bicycle.

Over the past couple of weeks I've discovered that my boots were made for walking (and not just in the woods.) Best feul efficiency I've had in a while. Trying to figure out what to get in a bike. They got some called Hybrids that look like they should do the job.

God bless,
Adam

It's only illegal if you get caught. :)

$3.16 where I live. I could get to the other side of town and get it as low as $2.89.

Have you heard of the Fed's Quantitative Easing? Basically the Federal Reserve is buying up Treasury Bonds from the large banks, flooding them with liquidity (cash.) The banks have to do something with all this money (which the Fed basically conjures up out of thin air) so they bid up asset prices (reflation, speculators.) It is no coincidence that the huge run up in stocks from the March '09 bottom through April '10 and again since last Sept both happened to occur while the Fed had large scale asset purchase programs in place. First with MBS (Mortgage Backed Securities aka "toxic assets") and now US Treasuries. These rallies, imo, have very little to do with fundamental economic growth or "recovery." This effect is not limited to stocks, however, as all types of commodities and the precious metals have also seen huge increases over the last year (http://finviz.com/futures_performance.ashx?v=16) Food inflation and unemployment are major factors in the Egyption uprising currently taking place. For any number of reasons Oil has been a laggard, but many experts were already predicting large increases in the crude price this year even before the unrest began developing in the Arab world. In the near term, it appears that fiscal and monetary policy, as well as geopolitical tensions will have far more impact on food and energy prices than good 'ole supply and demand...

Wanna save gas? Stick an open soda can on your dash board and drive without knocking it over or spilling it.
