Okay, I´m mostly a Busse guy when it comes to FB´s (Got 3 Sebbies though! :D ) Now since I love my Sebbies sooooo much, I was thinking of trying the CRK FB line out. I have fallen in love with the Sable IV but also like some of the other one pice designs. I will not have a FB with serrations, so the GB´s are out of the pic.
Let me know which one to try and get....... What´s your flavor in the one pice line? :)

Yes you will. I have Busses also. 1/4" SJ, 3/16" SJ and a NO. Also have a Green Beret and Mountaineer II. The fit and finish on CRK is great. My favorite all around knife is my Mtn II. It's just the "right" size and cuts like a demon. Honestly, I don't see any chore my Mtn can't handle. Guess I have the others because I lik'em....
 
I fully agree with that. The Mt.II cuts like a dream. I just ordered a shadowIV
sheath for it. The Mt.II replaces my Cold Steel SRK. I sold it because I never
was able to get it as sharp as I wanted it. ( 1/3 of the edge starting from
the point had a bigger angle, so instead of a lot of reprofiling a got a CRK :D )
 
I have three CRK fixed blades: the 4" Sable III, a 5.5" Al Mar collaboration, which is a Sable IV with an upper guard and serrations, and an immense Sable with a 12.5" blade. I like the design :)

Depending on your use, you may want a heavier tip, but none of the Sables are delicate.
 
I just got a Project 1 (first CRK FB) and discovered just how sharp it is... :o :rolleyes: :footinmou

Since it looks hollow ground, how is it for chopping??? :confused:




...And NO ALIass... you can't have it... ;) I TOLD you to get a Mountaineer, didn't I??? :p ;)
 
Rob, You know I´ll get it...so just mail the damn thing, and get it over with!! ;)
Sooooo, The Mountaineer will get on my want list as of now.
I ended up trading for a NIB Shadow IV instead of the Sable. I still want a Sable though :D
