Hello everyone!

I got one ZT knife: ZT 0500 MUDD. However it hasn't seen any action over 5 months nor I have done anything but cut some veggies and food prepearation. I haven't even cut rope nor wood with it, so its basicly like new (what a horrible thing for hard use knife )

Its not way to treat ZT knife. I am pretty much moving away from modern folders into traditional and fixed blades.

I am just affraid I might:

a) regret selling that knife and find use for it later
b) Selling ZT 0500 would end up me selling also my BM 940 and Spyderco Military which are great knives but I haven't been use them much nor carried them much.

U git twi small Busse fixed blades, I got excellent Bark Rivers and excellent puukko's which I take when I hike or camp. Busse GameWarden is nearly as big as ZT 0500 and smaller when ZT is opened so my MUDD just doesn't see any action which would justify fully selling my MUDD. I've been poundering this myself nor 6 weeks now.

Thanks for opinions and suggestions.

The MUDD is discontinued and quite hard to find now. If you want to sell it, please let me know (send me an email or PM)

Considering that your ZT 0550 is currently not in production and may be difficult to find in the future, you may want to take that into consideration when considering parting with the knife.

If you are indeed moving away from modern folders, then I say go ahead and sell it with a clear conscience.

If you're considering selling the 940 and the military, I might sell those first and then see how you feel about the MUDD. It's getting hard to find the MUDDs, since they've been discontinued for a while now, but you could replace the millie or the 940 in a heartbeat if you wanted to.

Of course if you don't think you're ever going to use it, it might be best to let it go. Letting a good knife sit, unused in a drawer, is a real shame.

The Mudd is quite unique as it's the only production knife I know with sealed pivot, among other features. Since it's discontinued, there's a good chance it will appreciate in price. Sell the other modern knives, but perhaps you can hold on to this and see if it's gonna worth more in a year.

Perhaps hold onto to it for a year, like Sep said, and see how you feel about selling it after that time. You may have also changed your mind after that time period.

But I say hang onto the 0500 for a bit, and sell your 940 and spydie if you are not using them.
