Would it be OK to post about a knife passaround in the "General" forum?

I'm doing two passarounds and and am curious to know whether, if I'm having trouble filling up the slots, it would be OK to post a notice in the General forum to alert people that a passaround is happening. The passaround forum is a little dead so I anticipate it may be quite slow to fill up.

As a general rule, we don't want the GKD used as a bulletin board for notifications. But as a Gold member, you can post a link to it in your signature line.
