If anyone has any experience with hobo knives that have been recently made, only case comes to mind, please speak their mind, comments, compliments, good or bad, i want to hear it all

Yup I've got one. Solid, smooth, truly well made. Fork makes the most wonderful sound upon closing. Blade bites well but fork is totally flat, and the whole thing's on the heavy side.
So,
Mr. Hobo never made it to the mountains. A Snow Peak titanium spork and a liner lock SAK prove more practical (for me).
Ocassionally I take it to the restaurant just to annoy my friends, and that it does an excellent job.
I think Aitor makes something similar, with a curved fork. Looks nowhere nearly as good as Mr.Hobo though.

armlessbandit,

The Case Hobo is very well made and designed has been around longer then most of us. If you need a field knife with cooking tools it's the way to go, the current production models have a spoon, fork and knife they split into 3 seperate tools which is nice but they all lock back together very tightly, the knife comes with a HOBO sheath for that model that rides nice on the belt. You can still find the older models with only the knife and fork they were a bit slimmer to carry than the newer with spoon models but in a sheath it wont make a big difference might in the pocket though. Great tool for camping ect.
