So long story short, i have got a big pile of money recently(please dont rob me!) and have decided i now have enough money to invest in the custome knife of my dreams, but since i live in a kinda shitty country when it come to custome knifes, i tought i should ask here, if the topic is in the wrong forum im sorry, realy new here.

The idea is, that i want a "Trench knife"(think thats the correct term) in high end materials, with a Bowie style blade, since im totaly crap om drawing i wont even try, but i have some ideas, and requierments.

1. I want it to last forever, one day i want to be abel to pass it on to my grand childs.

2. The handle should be formed like a knuckle duster, of some nice material, i have been thinking about Titanium, and maybe something more rubbery wher you have the hand to make it nicer to hold, not sure. Any ideas?

3. Blade should be bowie style with a nasty dubbel edged tip also made of the best chopping steel out ther, as said, when i can afford it, i want it to be totaly bada**.

4. Want a kydex sheet to go with it, with a shoulder harness for conceald carry, guess tip up system would be the best for a quick draw.

5. Glass breaker at the back of the handle.

Want it to be a pure big scary fighting knife, for when the dead start to walk;)

If my idea is terrible, please tell me why and how to improve it, as said im ready to pay out my ass to see this come true, also if someone could draw it for me it would be pure awsome!

Best regards Viktor.

I'm a pretty terrible at drawing myself. But just for reference is this pretty much the style you're looking for?

Where do you live???!!!! When I think 'knife to pass onto grandchild', I think high-end slipjoint! :D

Yes something like that, but abit different :)

Different in what way, please specify?

In a way that he doesn't have to buy a Busse...;)

Can't say i have anything special against busse but here goes.

I want a stonewashed blade, the "knuckles" looks way to thin(even tho that might be just that its hard to see from the side) Going to try to work a scetch out with a friend thats beter on drawing then i am ;)

This is an excellent idea, the knuckle knife is one of my favorites too.

It's cool in a way to have the knuckles made directly out of the blade tang, like on the Busse, because it's a solid construction, but then the knuckles are going to have the same thickness as the tang obviously. If you want them thicker, the knuckles need to be a part of the handle, like on the 1918 trench knife.

I remember Jesper Voxnaes made a trench knife with titanium knuckles that were pretty cool. Pic for inspiration:

Something like that yes! Think im in love, so is ther anyone that is up for the challange? :P

There should be many custom makers who could assist you. I think you should also look around in the different Knife Maker's forums (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/789-Knife-Maker-s-Discussion-Forums) and see if you find a maker who's work you like and think would fit for putting this project into reality. There are several makers who has made knuckle knives, Mark Terell makes them, Jeremy Horton has made some nice ones as well. I believe American Kami (manghu67 on these forums) has made some nice skull knuckles and skull trench knives. Find a maker you like and propose the project to them.

Might I suggest you wait for a bit before spending money on this? Buying a multi-hundred-dollar custom trench knife for "when the Zombiezz rise" is something I could easily see you regretting a few months from now. Maybe start out with an Opinel, first?

Maybe it's just me, but that kind of condescending tone isn't appreciated. Judging by your Opinel comment I'm guessing you're under the impression that this is somehow his first knife, which couldn't be more inaccurate. The reason he asked for help is because he doesn't have any experience dealing with custom orders. I understand that you might just be trying to help stop a rookie from making a rookie mistake, but I can't help thinking that you formed this opinion of him because he doesn't speak English perfectly(which is his second language, mind you.) and because he hasn't really been on forums long enough to do his own research efficiently.

Instead of questioning his motives perhaps you could provide him with some useful suggestions as to who to turn to.

Don't usually hijack threads, but OMG. What model is this? Love the balde, does it come without the knuckledusters?

Martin Olexey knives are awesome. Here is a example of his work. Pics taken from his site.

You're right, I thought he was a newbie, but not because of the way he spoke (typed?). The guy speaks English better than a lot of the less intelligent people here. It's just that you don't often see experienced users asking about how to spend a few hundred bucks on a trench knife. I really was trying to prevent him from doing something he'd regret, though I could have said it better, definitely. Sorry.

Then I'll suggest Darrin Sanders. Here's an example of a knife made by him, that looks kind of similar to what you might want. Darrin's a true "custom" maker, though; if you can draw it, he can make it. I don't think titanium scales would be a problem, though they'd add to the cost.

It's an Argonne Assault, like Thrustus said. Great looking knife. Busse has a custom shop that allows you to modify existing models, I doubt grinding the knuckles off would be a problem. Send an email to Busse, or start a thread in the Busse subforum, if you want to know more.
