Would Love a 4" Native!

After reading traumadoc's story of the dog attack, I started thinking about my Native. I've always liked the blade profile and the handle is ergonomic, but it's just a bit small to me. I would love to see a Native, just like the current Native, with about a 3.75-4" blade. Same back lock. Same handle shape. Exact same blade profile. Maybe have lined FRN scales like the Enduras.

What a great folder that would be to carry while walking the dog.

I currently carry a Para Military 2 (and other things) for walking the dog and am planning to get a Military, but if there were a Native like I described, I would be a happy dog-walker...

Traumadoc - great story in the other thread. You acted "cool under fire".

That would be an original manix :D

I had to look that up after reading your post. I had never seen that one, but it it very close! I would still like the Native blade. It has a great profile for piercing. It has a sharp tip and the false edge on top.

That would be pretty cool,I'd buy one. Also different handle colors as an option would be even better, with ZDP189 as a steel option.

And I would NOT want a FFG on the blade. I would prefer a stronger blade grind, such as on the Native.

And not too much curve throughout the knife. The Military has a good bit of curve from the base of the grip all the way to the tip of the blade. For defense of the nature I'm referring to, I would like a straighter overall profile, umm, like the Native.

I do like that the Manix XL has a little more hand guard. I must admit, that consideration has occurred to me regarding my Native.

There is the Native Chief that is been in the works for a few years. This post was from 2009.

It looks nice, but the overall knife has more curve than I would want for this purpose.

I forgot about my Benchmade Griptilian. It is a also a good option. Has a good blade shape for piercing and strong blade grind. The overall shape is also more straight. It's the knife I normally carry when walking because of this.
