would oyu sign a petition?

I think many would sign it, but i don't know that it would make any difference to anyone who is an elected official & could actually vote on this or make a bill. If you did not live in NYC, why would they care at all what you thought ? I'm just sayin. I do NOT disagree with what you said at all. I think some of the catch phrases our lawmakers use are just for "wow-factor" & are actually an oxy-moron---like "dangerous knife" !!! ANY knife is dangerous (yet we all use them every single day) in the hands of a criminal intent on using it as a weapon to help commit a crime. Yet that same knife can also save someones life if it is used to protect themself from said criminal. Same with guns. But we all know this because we are knife enthusiasts. I know in Western NY State, it seems as if they represent who is benefitting them the most---NOT thier constituants. We seem to be of no concerne anymore. Sad. I used to write to my elected officials about the 2nd Amendment & gun control. I actually had a visit from 2 men in suits asking me if i was stalking my elected official---IMHO, because i was pro-2nd Amendment & she was not. All i did was correspond. I did NOT need the hassle. My tax dollars at work !

I think it needs to be written in legalese. And spell checked. I don't how NYC works, but some state's have propositions that voters can vote on.

3: to have the length of legal blade length extended to "5in, instead of "4in. OR what would be so much better, to have no limit on blade length.

NYC allows knives up to 4" blade lengths?? I always thought it was more like 2"

I really hope you don't represent knife rights.

+1. I also hope they are trying to stop Boston from doing the silliness their trying right now rather than restructure NYC laws.

I would not sign it simply because we had to waste time to move the thread when the OP knew he was posting it in the wrong place. Not the type of person I want representing my rights at all.

Twinstick has the right idea. Would anyone really take into account non residents of that state?
