Would this be an Auto.

The Spyderco Bifold concept is technically spring operated, but definitely not a traditional Auto. Would it still be illegal under CA laws? Also, I'm pretty sure the blade is less than two inches long, but if it were, say, three inches, would the design be illegal? Any help appreciated.

Sal, the owner of spyderco has said the blade length is below the California limit, hence even if considered an auto it would be "California legal." If they made a 3" version, I think it would be any one's guess.
