Let's move this to "Knife Laws", a more appropriate place for your question.
Texas law is very simple with respect to determining if a particular knife is legal or illegal for public carry (there is no knife that is illegal to own in Texas.)
There are 2 criteria that must be met.
The blade, as measured IN A STRAIGHT LINE from tip to the guard (or where the guard would be IF the knife had a guard) must be LESS THAN 5-1/2 inches in length.
The blade must be single edged. Even as little as 1/2" of sharpening along the spine edge is sufficient for the knife to be deemed "double edged", as per case law.
That's it.
You can own anything.
You can carry any LEGAL knife either concealed or open any place where it is legal to carry a knife.
You can carry any knife, whether legal or illegal, on any property you own, rent or have permission from the owner to be on. Or keep it in your car.
At your waist or anywhere else, including fully concealed. So this blade, not being over 5 1/2 in length and not being double edged, can be at my waist in public?
