Would this work as a fighting blade?

Not quite sure where this should go, as this is my first post, but I'll trust my instincts

Anyway, I've been testing out different models for a game, and I was wondering if a certain blade design would be a wise choice in real life.
Here it is:

(If anyone's wondering, the design comes from my misunderstanding of what a falchion looked like when reading the Inheritance/Eragon series a few months ago; although I had originally imagined the curve to be more pronounced, I decided that it wouldn't be practical when modeling this. Also, the textures were applied in like five minutes, so don't get on my back about that .-.)

I was thinking that it could be used with one in each hand, one being used to attack and the other to defend? An advantage to the curve would be that you could use it to slash and stab at a hypothetical foe, I'd imagine. Of course, it might be too easy to accidentally stab yourself, which is partially why I came to ask here.

So yeah, if that was tldr for you, I just want your opinions on whether or not the blade up there would be practical to use in battle. Thanks!

It's pretty much a weaponized billhook, or maybe a large korambit. Might even compare it to the Dacian Falx.

You're right o: Thanks! Now I know my hypothetical game character won't accidentally stab himself when using something like that ^^

On a different note, how would this work? It's how I "originally" imagined it while reading-

No. It would not.

Edit: Agree with Triton, below. What you meant to ask was, "Would this work as a gaming blade." Sure. In an environment like a game, anything goes. In a real fight, it would be awkward and unlikely to stand against a baseball bat or spear or anything that's a more natural extension of the human arm. The curve is too pronounced on your sketch.

Agreed with the Sica comment, but the sica. The sica it should be noted was used in the coliseum not in the legion. As far as games go I wouldn't worry about it so much. If you can have gunblades and cloud buster swords this thing should be no problem at all.
