Would you be concerned about how even these grinds are?

I honestly would have never noticed if part of the scallop on one side of my new 0200 didn't get hit with the grinder. Hell, I might not eve have noticed if it wasn't for the DLC making it stick out like a sore thumb. This is the first knife where I have been able notice uneven grinds.

I don't think they are off enough to cause problems, just a little bit of an eyesore.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics.

Nah, wouldn't bother me at all. If it really bothers you, you can color the area near the ricasso in with sharpie.

It looks like it's only the secondary bevel no big deal IMO just even it out yourself had to do it more then once myself.

That's kind of what I figured. I know people have complained about it on here before and this was the first time I really took notice.

I've seen worse on more expensive knives, it's just a sad fact of the manufacturing industry that you will rarely get evenly ground edge bevels. The day I started checking for this was a little depressing, before you knew it was an issue you didn't notice, now that you do it's all over the place.

+1 for this. My only folders with truly even grinds are couple of Pohl Forces - made in Taiwan. Purely aesthetic matter but when one's a bit fussy about aesthetics it can be bothering.

The final edge of the knife is done by hand by a very skilled group of workers in our factory. Hand edging is pretty much industry standard. There will be a tiny amount of variation, but your regardless of cosmetics, your edge should be shaving sharp when you receive your new knife.

Oh the edge was definitely shaving sharp!!

Like I said, I probably wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for the DLC being ground off the ricasso.

I got my 0350 in last week (what can I say, I'm addicted) and noticed some minor variation as well.

I'm not concerned, I was just asking because I see how nitpicky people on here can be and wasn't sure if it should be a concern. I'm glad that I got the clarification. I think the DLC coating on the blades makes it a lot easier to see variations. I don't think it's a coincidence that the only knives I can see anything on are the two DLC blades I own.

After you sharpen it yourself you'll never notice the difference. As long as it's shaving hair I'm good with that sort of stuff.
