Seems like there is a great demand for a larger Commander ES1-M. BM 975 CQC7 are still highly sought after and they are bigger than the EK CQC7. Would you buy a larger sized CQC7?

I own and have used CQC-7's. No doubt, Its a handy design.
IMHO the Emerson Tanto goes above and beyond the BM 975 CQC-7. It is an evolution in design beyond the BM 975 CQC-7. The only thing missing is a Wave!
The Emerson Tanto Prototype was originally submitted by Ernie when BM asked for a larger Tanto. BM ultimately choose a larger version of the exixting BM CQC-7.
WHY?
Well, I can only speculate here but it seems that BM's decision to simply go with a larger version of the existing CQC-7 was based on one thing: The CQC-7's immense popularity.
1.The BM CQC-7 was the hottest selling folder. BM probably wanted to continue to capitalize on the design by gainning additional sales from new customers looking for a bigger folder.
2.Why introduce a new design with an untested sales record when you already had the liscense on the hottest selling knife?
3. Its easier and more cost effective to simply scale up the dimmensions of an existing knife than to tool up for a new design.
This is all off topic, sorry.

No I wouldn't.I owned the BM 975 and found it too large for My tastes.I prefer the standard size of the CQC7B.tom.

In two seconds, the CQC7 is a little to small for me.
Does anyone know where to get a Benchmade Emerson CQC7 fullsize new in box, or altleast in good shape?

I have always thought that the blade was a little too short. I confirmed this at my last National Guard drill. There is one other guy in my unit who is into knives and he has the Spec War CQC-7B version and a Commander. When I handled the Spec War, the handle didn't fit my hand very well. (And I have small hands, too.)
Anyway, wasn't Emerson going to introduce a larger version a year or so back? I thought that I saw it mentioned in one of the SHOT show reports.
