Would you buy deep carry clips by Cold Steel?

I am probably in the minority, but I hate deep carry clips. I like a little bit of knife to stick out for ease of drawing.

The aftermarket clip market is nothing but deep carry clips. I can never find an aftermarket standard carry clip for Cold Steel knives.

More options are never a bad thing though.

I don't understand the deep pocket carry clip, I have had a couple and experienced the same thing as Josphldoyle. I carry some of my large folders in a sheath to make the draw easier/quicker. Is it that the OP wants to hide the knife? If so why? If I want to hide a knife then I hide it totally from view. Not against them, just not understanding the need for one(which is likely my set of circumstances differing than OP).

I'm not personally a fan of deep pocket clips .

If you're trying to CC , there's better ways . If a clip is showing , anybody who cares is gonna assume it's a knife .

I don't want any clip that makes access more difficult / slower .

I love how Cold Steel pocket knives use short low profile pocket clips but always wished they also made their own take on the deep carry clips as well.

Deep carry clips if designed well don't have to mean that it will also be difficult to access. For example, Benchmade's SOCP folder has a well designed deep carry clip with an integrated ring fast access grip hole!

Hey nephron. I don’t really have “hard” or urgent reasons for wanting a deep carry clip. As Joseph said, it’s nice to have options and I would probably prefer them on the less tactically-inclined knives like the Finn Wolf or the Air Lite. It’s just satisfying when the entire knife can vanish into the pocket haha.

I just ordered a Spartan because it was time for a new piece. The clip position, and having it blacked out as opposed to shiny stainless, where considerations.

Hey upnorth. Been a while, man. Hope you enjoy your new knife. Actually carrying mine right now haha.

Thanks man. I am heavily into metal detecting during the warmer months. But other interests are always there. The Spartan should be a good universal city/forest carry for me. Cold steel folders usually have edged spines that work well with fero rods. Enjoy your steel.

I have a number of custom "deep-carry" clips on my Zero Tolerance blades. There are a couple of stores on Etsy, and Ebay that offer clips for Cold Steel models including the AD-10, which I'm now considering. These are exponentially better, than the factory offerings. If anyone's interested, I can find the link to these vendors.

I can vouch for “pop’s custom clips” on Etsy. The original clips he sent me for 2 recon 1s did not fit correctly (a little to large to fit in the pocket clip recess) so he sent me free replacements.

I usually don’t like deep carry clips, but his are very nice and add to the overall feel in hand, and offer a better finger grip when deploying via thumbstud because there’s more clip to hold onto with the small fingers.
