Before FBM came out for order, I always love the Satin & Snake Skin combo from Busse.

Ｉ must have to admit that I am a bit dissapointed (only a bit) by the matter of the fact, LE isn't with snake skin. Some might respond that the magnum tiger hide IS much better of a handle than Snake skin. I have ordered one LE. The Tiger handle is a bit not scratching on the exact spot, do you know what i am talking about?

If you were me, would you spend extra $65.00 to Busse custom shop, for them to remove the tiger hide and put on snake skin? It sounds a bit of "degrade" on the LE. But, at the same time, I will have the only FBM that has Satin & Snake Skin combo.

I　just would like to hear from other HOGs to see if it is a dumb idea, or it is a great idea.
 
The SS are not offered in Magnums, so I would just leave it stock, but that's just me... ;)
 
I like it the way it is. I already own one snakeskin model (a Jungle shadow camo/snakeskin combo Hellrazor) I love the snakeskin look, the tiger looks good from what I have seen but I would like to see more pics of it.

And IMO changing it from stock would mess with the value.
 
yeah...i was in the exact same boat when I first ordred my LE; the tiger hide doesn't really look that impressive in the pics I've seen. But I've kinda gotten to like the idea of the whole LE package the more I think about it...I'll do some mixing and matching on a FBM CG if I get the funds.
 
I would get what you really want, it is better than you always wishing you had the SS and don't. Have them ship you the Tiger hide scales so you could have them put them back on later if you change your mind.
 
Or you can sell the magnum Tigers to another forumite to offset the cost of the alteration....hint, hint, hint.

It's my understanding that all the LEs come with Tiger Stripe, hmmmm maybe that's only on the larger models. Can't seem to remember what handle the LE MrS had on them, was it snakeskin? Anyhow, I have to admit that SS is my favorite color but they don't come in Mags and I perfer Mags over any other handle....so Tiger Stripe it is! Good luck with you decision.
 
The MRS LEs came in Tiger Stripe, I had one in my possesion for a very short time.

IMHO this is a great idea. You should get exactly what you want in your FBM and this would be a great way to off set some of the cost.

I have been thinking about this, albeit in a different combo (duh, black magnum G10 since black paper is not available). I think it is well worth it. I'm just waiting to hear back from Garth or Jerry about it.
 
As long as the Factory does the work, having a one of a kind will be worth more money down the road.

As a User knife, getting one just the way you like it is certainly worth an extra 20%.

So an extra $65.00 would be cheap satisfaction.

As a Safe Queen you mostly need to wait till some one is collecting that model before it will accrue value.

However there is also collectability in a Snake Skin Collection to be found.

"Snake Skin Collection" HHHMMmm, Some thing to think about there?

Anyone got a list of all the Busse knives offered with SnakeSkin?

I kind of want an AK with that handle.
 
I'd get exactly what I wanted. On a $700 knife what difference will $60 make?
