Heres a blade of W2 that just broke my heart:grumpy: Clayed, 5 minute soak at 1450*..3 seconds in water, then into the oil..The funny thing is I didnt feel that damn ping until probably 8 seconds into the oil..It was mcmaster carr fast quench..First time this has happened in a long time:grumpy:
Left the edge fat too, probably .045...
Just look at the hamon activity!!! this is just cleaned up with a 120 grit belt too, no etch
A huge crack, I went ahead and broke it out to check the grain..It was great..I could have got by just fine without seeing it though..
