To say I hyper-focus when I get into a hobby is truly an understatement. I have been a gun collector/enthusiast for most of my life and have rooms full of the spoils. As of late I have refocused on my early love of edged weapons. Since Thanksgiving I have been reading copious amounts of information on balis, large folders and Beckers. Picked up quite a few of each and sold a few alao. Had some CRks but quickly jumped from those to customs. Grabbed a nice Zermeno Ti bolster and CF scale that Im using for my edc. Have a Grayman Satu CF the way that will replace it. Yeah, if I liked my women like my Knives BBW & plumper would be replacing pale redhead as my favorite sarch item in google :-)
But I need to slow down! I have amassed 2 Bradled Mayhems, 2 BM51s, 4 different BK2s, BK3, BK77, BK9,BK10, Divtool, Irie II,Zermeno Spearpoint, MT Hawk,.MT SelectFire DA, Bradley.Alias, 3 US Kershaws, Sebenza, TOPS Bravo, Tracker 2, etc.....
& thats whar I remember off the top of my head. The good part is thats only cost wise about a third of one MP5 so it is much cheaper than the Machine gun bug.
Just wondering if anyone else has has the too much too fast problem? Here are some pics of some of my goodies. Take care, P

You need to give yourself some sort of limit, like one per week, or one per month. This way, you won't run out of places to store them - and
you may enjoy your knives more. If you spend $3,000 per week on knives, you will start to run short on money to buy rice and beans.

It's a warning sign to me when I find myself wanting to buy a new knife while I still have others in shipping or have just gotten so many that I haven't even carried them yet, yet find myself obsessed to buy a new one anyway. Sometimes the urge to "acquire" is greater than the pleasure of actually owning them. This, to me, is when truly "addictive" behavior is on display. I'm making a real effort to just enjoy the knives I have now. My collection is small compared to many here, but I still have enough that, rationally, I shouldn't get bored of them for a long time.

You have quite the collection there. I would say your next step is to commission a really nice custom from your favorite maker. It's a whole different ball park once you get something to your specs. I'm still waiting to get mine.

OCD--1 PolygonalGuy--0. :D;) I think there is probably a great deal of OCDism here at BF!

But you have gotten off to a good start.:) I have an Irie Model 11 w/spearpoint blade. I like this knife because it is very solid. Feels great in my hand, and the thicker liner lock is one of the stiffest liner locks I have, which is something I like. How do you like your's?

I was like that at the beginning to. However, I have changed up my opinion on knife collecting now. I have 3 small folders in a EDC rotation. One necker that I use around the house and two larger fixed blades for the hell of it. You will cool down after a while when you realize there are more important things to spend your time and money on.

I really like the Irie. Its the attention to detail that he puts into his work. His grinds on the blade on mine are just so well done. I do some gunsmithing and have a keen intrest in doing some cultler work. But from the freehand engraving I have done on firearms I know to get a blade hand ground with even precision is an art. It takes a very special mindset to work on that level. Im wanting to have a Grayman Suta that I have on the way worked over. Regrind the blade with an aggressive profile. Then im going to anodize the frame and liner blue and the clip and hardware flat black. Next is to play with the Carbon Fiber scale.
