Wouldn't a Damascus Insingo be cool?

I was browsing around knifeart's website today and noticed they have a couple Small Damascus sebbies with plain scales for sale, one in Devon Thomas ladder Damascus and the other in the raindrop pattern.

Who else would go for Damascus Insingo if they offered one?

I'd be first in line for a small raindrop version:D

Was just thinking about this yesterday when I read the thread about the gentleman who had to re-etch his small seb. Oh boy a small insingo with a damascus blade would be HOTT. Maybe next year when the insingo becomes a regular CRK line up I can send mine in for a new blade? =D

Speaking about the Insingo, did anyone else notice that KnifeArt is now selling Large ones with double thumb lugs, in both right- and left-handed versions?

I wish they'd sell an Insingo with a polished blade.

The reason I only own inlaid Sebenzas is because I really dislike stonewashed blades.

An Insingo with Bertie Rietveld Damascus would be my dream as I have met Bertie and he is a great, humble guy that is always willing to help!

Man that Mnandi looks awesome marthinus!

It's probably just a matter of time before a Damascus Insingo
is available in some form since this knife relatively popular.

There would be market for it I'm sure.

That damascus is amazing! I'm not sure I could get myself to use something that beautiful.

Jip, I dont know if I would use it either! Bertie's work is amazing and when you talk to him he is so humble and down to earth. Always willing to explain!

This was some of his work at the recent show. Sorry for the crappy pictures.

Either way Devin Thomas or Bertie's Damascus would be top notch of course! I just have a preference to Bertie since meeting him and wanting some of his work.

I'm sure we're going to see a whole bunch of inlay and damascus Insingos in 2011 since it won't be Knife Art exclusive anymore.

No question a Damascus Insingo would be hot. My current EDC sm sebe 21 DT stainless Raindrop Damascus holds a fantastic edge, looks great, has a unique look. That is why I'll always spend my $$ on damascus, before, fancy handles.

I'll take a large Insingo with either Raindrop or ladder Thomas Damascus. BTW I've ordered (sold most) 4-5 Damascus Sebes over the past 7 yrs. The shortest wait was a month (caught Heather at the right time), but most took nearly a year, one was 18+mos!

But worth the wait...
Too bad no longer an option on the Limited series.

Had one with Bertie's Damascus with Ivory (sold to fund a DT raindrop Limited)
His steel is really unique, that blade always looked rough & textured (was ladder stlye) like a wood burl does, but was perfectly ground, and smooth. Was hard to get a good picture of, but really nice to hold & admire. Never cut with it, so cannot compaire with DT's damascus in that regard.
