That's quite a chunk of skin. Looks like it's healing well though.

You could tell everyone it's a tatoo of a fishook. :)

looks like that hurt pretty dang bad. i can testify that tendon damage is NO FUN. nick (or sever in my case) one of those babies and you're gonna feel it. Ouchie!

Good luck and congrats on the healing.

Finally the pics have arrived:eek: There's something about healing cuts to me, that just dont look that bad. I suppose its because things are going well, and there aint no icky puss and other mucousy type stuff oozing out the wound:barf: Hope the healing is still going well. If the sight of the scar ever really bothers you, you can always cover it up with another scar, and get a tattoo:rolleyes:

That sure looks like it stung some. Hope is is healing ok.

Babes are fascinated with scars and scar-stories, I have heard. Never worked for me, but thats probably just me...

Hee hee hee:D I just hope no one wants me to repeat it for more photos. I think I've helped out the Safety thread enough already.;)

Yes, things are healing well, but slowly. Not sure if you can tell, but my arm shunk a lot while it was in the cast. Looked like a shrivalled prun when the cast finally came off.

Yep Jake, it did hurt a ton. But luckily I have a high tolorance for pain and the doc numbed me up before shipping me from Mount Pleasant (closest hospital to where it happened) to Provo for Surgery.

Jake, mind telling, what you severed and where it was? BTW, I severed 4 tendons, two wrist and two thumb tendons. And I tell you, it was really scary to have my wrist hang limp. Thankgoodness Provo has some really good Hand Surgeons.:)

DAYUM Heber!!!!
I saw the post earlier today and wanted to look, but I had time constraints for the first time in a long while and didn't have time to wait for the pix to load.
I just don't know about you and T-Bone Sisco!!!!
However I Know that these kinds of things can happen before anyone has time to yell DON"T and have had smaller ones myself.:o
And that's with being safety conscious all the time and so is proof that, indeed, accidents do happen.
Fortunately it wasn't any worse and it appears that you're well on the road to recovery.:D

My injury was a little cut compared to yours. i actually cut into the meat of my little finger resheathing a cold steel Desperado (typical CS aggressive serr. pattern). i, like yourself, have a pretty high threshhold for pain being that i've cut myself LOTS of times over the years;). However, when i did this i knew something was wrong with my hand because this was the most paingul cut i have had. the wound itself was no more than a teeny little 1/4" gash that didn't even bleed all that much. When i got to the ER (went there once i realized my finger wasn't moving when i tried to bend it) they kind of laughed at me for coming and put an cartoon bandaid on me. Then the "hand guy" as he was called looked at it and said, "Oh. Looks like you have given yourself a zone II injury. That is the THE single worst place to cut your hand. Looks like we'll have to do exploritory. Do you need to call your parents?"
Two hours later, 20 stitches, lots of loopy drugs, and 5,000 dollars i finally found out that i had severed the tendon that makes the tip of your little finger move. What a weekend!!
I'm very glad you took care of your injury. I'm the posterchild for not looking after my wound. the day after i had my stiches removed i wasn't wearing the brace i was suppose to wear for 8 weeks and SLAMMED THE DANG FINGER IN A TRUCK DOOR!!! Ruptured the tendon again and it's one of those things that can only be done once. so now my finger is little stiff "He-man action figure" thing that won't straighten past 60 degrees.
Like I said, congrats on the successful healing and I'm glad you actually took care of yourself.

Ouch Jake! that doesn't sound good at all. You need to take Better care of your self. I cut my self with a Cold Steel knife once. It was bad but luckily I only cut flesh. From the way my Doc and therapist keep mentioning a Ruptured Tendon, I figured it was Bad news. But, I still don't know what all that involves.

Sunday, I was out shoveling the driveway, slipped and caught my self with my left had (the cut hand). I don't think I cause any more damage, but it does hurt a little more, even today. Then again, it hurts a little more when ever it get's really cold or snows and we have gotten a bunch in last few days. So I don't know. At least it's nice to have Snow again.:)

Yvsa and Jake, maybe we should examine our lives. All these cuts must mean something. But what that could be, I have no clue.

I know for sure, that there is some Higher power watching over me. This Cut of mine is proof. The Doc says that I could not have cut my arm in a worce place. But also that I was REally lucky cause it could have been tons worce. If the cut had been Half a mm. deeper I would have severed Muscle and and artery.

Those pix and the story probably belong in the safety thread.

Uncle Bill, you guys are welcome to use them in the Safety tread.:) I don't know how to post them over there so I'll leave that to those that do know how. Also, if you want, you can use them on the Site.

Can I use these somewhere else and caption these shots "sock puppets are hazardous to your health"?

:)

Bruise, and here I thought that my mind was warped and twisted and sick. Yours is worse off by far.

Don't get upset and go away though - I'm enjoying it too much. :D :D :D

Hey Bruise, Rusty is correct, you are twisted.:p Then again so am I. You can use a pic, as long as you share your mods with us.:)

looks like he keeps his khuks razor sharp -- No messy tearing of the flesh, jsut a smooth, angry looking elipse...

Nice dueling scar there Heber, "'tis but a flesh wound" :D

Keep that rascal oiled up with some olive oil or vitamin E, and keep the sun off it for a while, it's got the makings of a real pretty one.

By the way, I'm sure we'd all like to hear the story for that one that you've cooked up for the benefit of oohing and ahhhing ladies.
"No s*&t there I was, 60 feet down and just about to open the treasure chest, when suddenly this huge hammerhead appeared out of nowhere........";)
