I got the privilege of putting new carbon fiber scales on the Busse "wounded badger". If you don't know the story behind this knife its pretty incredible and a testament to Busse combat knives. The story is on the forum somewhere. Anyway the knife will be on display at the indy 1500 if anyone wanted to check it out.

If I remember correctly it is the one that stopped a bullet in Afghanistan or Iraq, don't remember which. Glad someone is holding onto that baby. ;)

.... not quite, .40S&W round in a LE training ex. I would not have wanted to be the one wearing it when it happened however..!!!

We see him at every INFI1500. He said when the sheath shattered he thought he was screwed but basically ended up very black and blue. He a pretty stout guy and funny as hell;)

That's a great story!

I like the carbon fiber, but I think Kevlar on that knife would've been REALLY cool!

Nice work!

It's not mine just friends with the guy that owns it, which is the same guy in the story. He did sell it at one point in time because he had to but a while later his wife suprised him and bought it back.

Looks great, and knowing the original owner (as it when it got its name) authorized the update makes it easier to like.

It would be nice if Busse would offer Cf handles. Not sure it would ever happen, heard it takes a good bit to set up to work with CF.
