Woven vs. Marbled/Forged Carbon Fiber

Are there any distinct, non-aesthetic, advantages to one over the other for use in folding knife scales?

Nope...probably going to be all aesthetic. The difference in strength between woven and marbled CF in a knife handle will be moot.
