Hi All,
I didn't realize that this 'Sheaths & Such'' group existed here. I look in from time to time and admire the fine knives and other blades but some of the leather work I've seen here is really amazing.

Leather is such a cool thing to work with, I've never really done much with it along the finished product line.

I have an old Singer 29-4 boot patcher and just about every leather stamp & hand stitching/layout tool you can think of plus leather up the wazoo.

Seeing the work here is a real inspiration for me to learn how to make things - keep the pictures coming!!!

Hey Keith, good to have you visit us. Please make it a frequent thing. If you have a photo or two of the vintage hand tools I'm sure we would all be interested. It's almost scary to realize that 1950's tools are now considered "vintage" and that's about where I started.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the welcome. It's funny, when you go over to Ebay everything with a little rust and a few years old is labeled 'vintage'.

I'll put some pics of my old Singer 29-4 when I get her running. It's a treadle and I've got to find the time to sit down and figure out some issues it has.

When I get some hand stitching under my belt I'll show some first efforts too.
Keith
