This is an exceptional piece of equipment. I can't figure out why it was sold at a discount other than one of the smaller knives doesn't have an edge to it. It looks like it isn't supposed to from the picture on the retail website. I purchased the 8/21 17 inch 29 ounce Ganga Ram by Shaila Kami.

I have a couple of the Atlantic Cutlery $30.00 "specials", and there is no comparison. Think I'll be getting rid of those pretty quick. Don't even want them around.

Congrats and welcome:D

That edgeless knife is supposed to be, well, edgeless. It's called a chakma and is a burnishing tool for touching up the khukuri's edge as you use it.

Enjoy it safely:)

Ganga Ram, good choice! I don't own one myself, but I'm told it's one of the better models for wood chopping.
