I bet alot of CRK Forum post start out with something like that. " Wow, I get it now."

Little background so you know where I am coming from. I have been addicted to the steel since the age of 7, when I rode my bike down to the local Bononza 88 Store
( a local dollar type store back in the late 70's Kalispell, MT) an purchased a barlow style knife with my hard earned lawn mowing money. Man was it cool. Carried it daily.

Over the years I have had many pocket knives. Case, buck and kershaw. Then my tastes moved on to fixed blades for hunting and bushwork. Customs and Beckers.

But the last few years its been ZT and Spyderco. All Great knifes.

When I looked at the CRK after learning about them on here, Bladeforums. I thought really? Who pays that much for a knife? How much better could it be?

Well after watching the exchange forum for a while I found a gently loved CRK large sebenza 21 micarta insingo. From a great member.
The knife call to me in all the right spots. Clean and classic.

I really don't how to tell you why I like this knife so much. But can tell you, I have not had any thing close to it in my hand before this.
The FF is perfect. The lock up is vault like.

The details that Chris Reeves has thought out on this knife are subtle, but amazing:
sub·tle
Adjective

(esp. of a change or distinction) So delicate or precise as to be difficult to analyze or describe.
(of a mixture or effect) Delicately complex and understated.

My plans for this knife is to carry it and use it. Do I need a high dollar knife to do the job, nope.
But I smile each time I look at it and use it.

So glad to hear you are liking that beautiful Insingo. CRK blades can be addictive. My name is fewpop and I'm a Sebenzaholic. :)

A large Insingo was my first CRK and like you I think it is great. I touched up the edge for the first time yesterday now it's very sharp and in my pocket.

Great knife! I EDC one like it 95% of the time, the other 5% I carry a large plain insingo. Congrats.

Everytime i see an insingo, it makes me wish i had gone with it instead of the drop point...

I agree, my first two full size were drop points. I just received an Insingo Wednesday, its a really nice change from the usual blade style.

Congratulations Montanabladefix. I don't currently have any CRK knives, but have owned a Sebenza 21, Sebenza 21 with Micarta inlays, and the original Umnumzaan. I sold them all and have been regretting it ever since. I hope to remedy that soon. Your Insingo is a beautiful specimen and will serve you well.

I had the same reaction a month and a half ago. I knew there had to be something real about these knives that got people to shell out so much money, and I saw that the resale value is generally good, so I figured it was worth the risk to try one. Now I have a whole list of CRK's that I want.

Welcome to the addiction!

You picked one of the best combinations CRK offers in my opinion, may it serve you well.

You're carrying my current EDC! I started with a plain large Insingo. Then went to the large micarta Insingo. It's a knife you have to own and use to appreciate.

CRK knives are really interesting in the fact that such an awesome knife that it should just blow your mind right out of the box. However for most of us it takes a few days, or maybe weeks and months to truly be inspired from the knife. I hand my Large 21 to people to check out and they just look at it as a normal knife, when I tell them the price they think I'm crazy until I start describing the knife to them. I'm glad you enjoy your knife, your next one will come soon!
