I bet alot of CRK Forum post start out with something like that. " Wow, I get it now."
Little background so you know where I am coming from. I have been addicted to the steel since the age of 7, when I rode my bike down to the local Bononza 88 Store
( a local dollar type store back in the late 70's Kalispell, MT) an purchased a barlow style knife with my hard earned lawn mowing money. Man was it cool. Carried it daily.
Over the years I have had many pocket knives. Case, buck and kershaw. Then my tastes moved on to fixed blades for hunting and bushwork. Customs and Beckers.
But the last few years its been ZT and Spyderco. All Great knifes.
When I looked at the CRK after learning about them on here, Bladeforums. I thought really? Who pays that much for a knife? How much better could it be?
Well after watching the exchange forum for a while I found a gently loved CRK large sebenza 21 micarta insingo. From a great member.
The knife call to me in all the right spots. Clean and classic.
I really don't how to tell you why I like this knife so much. But can tell you, I have not had any thing close to it in my hand before this.
The FF is perfect. The lock up is vault like.
The details that Chris Reeves has thought out on this knife are subtle, but amazing:
sub·tle
Adjective
(esp. of a change or distinction) So delicate or precise as to be difficult to analyze or describe.
(of a mixture or effect) Delicately complex and understated.
My plans for this knife is to carry it and use it. Do I need a high dollar knife to do the job, nope.
But I smile each time I look at it and use it.
