About a month ago, there was so much chatter here about 110s with broken tips getting fixed......I was inspired to send one in that I'd had laying around for years doing nothing.

It was, as I recall, about 22 to 25 years old and looked it.

Here's what came back in today's mail.

It is absolutely beautiful. Yes, those bolsters are like mirrors. There are no flaws.

The paperwork said they had replaced the blade.

They did a lot more than that.......and charged me nothing.

My hat is off to Joe and his gang.....I probably shouldn't have said "Boys," because I'm sure that team has women on it as well as men.

Oh, by the way, I DID NOT mark it "Attn: Joe Houser." I just sent it in like anybody would do.

...Glad you got it back like you want it...That's why we all love Buck...There may be more expensive knives out there but there just isn't another company like Buck...I have a 298 Sirus on the way here...from a "RETAILER"...If it ever has problems I'm sure I won't...Just a great company...Period...

Cool Rocinante. I got the same service on my old 110 a few months ago. I like that new 2007 date mark

Thanks, guys......and RazorBlades, I'm sorry for your situation and I hope it gets straightened out real quick. Hang in there.

Very cool Rocinante. Seems like you got it back in a reasonable amount of time too :)

D, you will LOVE that 298GY.

Yes, there was about a month turn-around on mine.

I forgot to say this before, but.....

Joe, please share my thanks with your team.

Roc: I see that your good experience is loosing out 3 to 1 to RAZOR's bad experience. 7 posts so far here vs. 22 in RAZOR's thread.

I'm not making light of RAZOR's problem (I would be upset too) but it provides some interesting insight to human nature.

Well.....things are going ok with me.....and he's having a huge problem.

So, I would expect more posts from people sympathizing and trying to help out.

But, as I posted over there.....I bet the last knife is still working its way through Customs.

The first one? Well, that's just one of those things.

...I gotta say that I've had far more great experiences with Buck than I ever had bad ones...Razor has a legit problem though and it will be addressed I'm sure. He has shown great patience all through his wait... probably more than I'd have...Nice to have the knife back the way they sent it to ya though isn't it Roc?...

Good looking 110 Rocinante. I did the same thing about a month ago. I kept reading about broken tips so I sent mine in too. Haven't seen it yet but with Easter and the shop being very busy. I'm not surprised it's not done. I'm in no hurry, just hope it looks as nice as yours.

BTW, I did ask FedEx for a POD when I sent it. I know it got there okay. My thought was more of it getting there then being worried about how long it was gone.
