Wow! Just found the ZT 0551

I dont know how I missed this one but I just saw the ZT 0551 and man I really want one! I cant seem to find any available online. Do you guys know if there will be more available in the future? I really have to own this knife!

The 0551 was a limited run. You might be able to still find one out there if you look hard enough. There will be another model that is almost identical that is the 0550. The reason the limited 0551 was made was to cater to the fans of the 0550 that were having to wait longer because of the availability of the steel they were going to use on the 0550. So if you want you can wait for the 0550 and it will be the same type of knife just different steel and maybe a little different handle look with the same materials.

The 0551 is every bit as nice as it looks. I was lucky enough to pick one up (#0580) and love it. That said, take a look at the thread here about the 0550. I may be wrong but it looks an awful lot like it may be more of a "production" xm-18 than a 0551 with different steel. Either way, I will own one of them as well (thank God for a cool/understanding wife!)

The 0550 and the 0551 are the same exact pattern with different steel (ELMAX on the 0551 and S35vn will be used in the upcoming 0550) and a different grip pattern on the G-10 scale.

The new ZT/Hinderer flipper is not the 0550. The flipper has not been given a model number yet nor have any of the specs really been revealed. No blade length, handle length, overall length, width, weight, blade thickness, Ti thickness, blade steel, or pivot details have been posted.
