According to the Dell rep at work, 60% of all money spent on PCs, is spent on gaming machines - a market that Dell have never been big in. So there are looking to invest big time in this market and hence the change in the way they will be selling machines from now on, they will be using retail sales channels in addition to their direct sale approach.
I wonder if I can get my boss to buy me a $10,000 games machine to test out our banking applications???? I'd even take it home and work on the weekends then ;-)
