I just saw all of the new knives on the website, not sure how long it has been up. Any ideas when more details of these will be available?

Steve

Can anyone confirm where these knives are made. Based on the price, I have to guess Asia. BTW, I really wish Buck would just save on their web site where the knives are made. At least indicate "made in USA" on the ones that ARE.

Yes, China.

I agree, while I have no problem with Buck contracting these more affordable knives to China, I wish they would be more open about which ones are on their website.

The most scary thing about them is the blades are 440A...I REALLY hate to see Buck drop below 420HC.

The Omni Hunters are made right here in Idaho 12 new models as are the new 183 CT crosslock and the new lines of military folders, the new pocket knives and the balance of the new products are from China and are made to our standards and carry the full Buck lifetime warrenty.

mnblade's link was to the new Colleague, Nobleman and Scholar, that's the ones I meant when I said China.

I had wondered about the Omni Hunters, the pricepoint seemed more USA made. I really like that new large Omni folder.

The new 2006 Buck Dealer Catalog states which knives are made in the USA and which are made overseas. BCCI members will be receiving their March newsletter along with the 2006 catalog and price sheet very shortly.

John,
Are you saying that if I want one of Buck's official dealer catalogues, all I have to do is join the Collectors Club? And I also get a COOL newsletter loaded with useful information, 4 times a year, and access to a members only club knife??? :D
What a deal!! I'd join right up if I wasn't already a member!

By the way, in case anyone did not know, Phil D pretty much runs this place. He's our Executive Vice President and a super guy!

OR, are you saying that if I don't get my hands on an elusive dealer catalogue (not widely available by any means), I remain in the dark about which Bucks are made in the U.S. and which are made in China? Why not just indicate this on the company web site!? Very baffling.
