After posting my problems with my UH LB7 sitflyer contacted me and offered to gift me an LB7 and I just received it in the mail today. He also included a sheath which I didnt have for mine. What a gesture and I can't stop smiling : ).

Some really excellent people here!

Indeed! Duane is a great great guy. One of the best around here in the Forum.

What a nice gesture, Duane. Good for you, PCL.

PCL…glad you got a knife AND a sheath from him!!

Duane gave me a Buck 112 one time, but he didn't send a sheath with it…….. :D

Nope, he's one of the good ones.
He used to hang out on the Buck Forum a lot, but only sticks his head in every once in a while in the last few years.
Miss his knowledge and especially the WIP projects he posted.

Duane is indeed awesomeness personified, but..."UH LB7"? Sorry, late here ;)

Congrats on the cool gift, PCL, and thanks for telling us about it; that story of Duane's generosity gives me a smile!:)
In fact, Duane's pictures of his splendid Case sowbelly and his perfect Powderhorn also make me smile, as does his new avatar. I even dug out my old King Crimson LP and gave it a listen recently!:D:D

LOL ! Now you know Mr. Stumps, that 112 doesn't need no stinkin' sheath !:D Nice to see you my old friend.

Thank you for the compliments on my pics. Glad you got to re-visit that old record too ;)

PCL, you know, as I told you, I just hope that you get some enjoyment from that old knife. Shame to think of it sitting in a roll when someone could appreciate it :)

It always makes me happier when I gift a knife, these small acts of paying it forward is just a token of my appreciation for this wonderful place called the porch. I am grateful many times for the atmosphere here, and in some ways the porch gives me solace that there are more good eggs than bad in the world. Especially after spending some time out driving around in traffic...

you are a generous guy sitflyer...seems you have paid if it forward a time or two.

Makes this porch one of the best to whittle away the time!!!

I know first hand the kindness of Duane:thumbup: Duane gifted a rare Gerber "Paul" knife...a personalized knife I'm tellin ya!!!:p

Thank you Duane...I carry it on special occasions:thumbup:

Always a joy to read these threads between trying to learn enough to keep up with most. It does my soul good. :)

Well done
