I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the choices David has offered us! A cornucopia of designs, a plethora of options, a sea of steel!

In for two at a minimum and considering others, but non refundable deposit means I have to really mean it. 😆 My eyes have always been bigger than my stomach and wallet, so care is needed.

Here's a snapshot of all the designs, for your convenience. To find details for them, look for the thread in my subforum marked "Pre Order" and the name of the design. The 24/7 belongs to Good Knife Co. as an exclusive not available to anyone else. The "dog" knives belong to Lucky Dog Knife Co. and can only be ordered through him. The rest are open to claims.

Edited to reflect designs that are deferred, which includes and that are already claimed up to the limit of the number being made. Of the remaining designs, some will be available in fewer than all the stated alloys, and that updated info is available in the individual pre order thread for each design. If no update is posted, it means that design is still being made in all the stated alloys.

Some of these designs represent a significant chunk of the overhead costs, and as such may not end up being made on this run if they don't get orders for them.

2 trailing point lightweight necker knives and the smallest of the Prevex line. Prevalini I think. So I went small as well. 1 in magnacut 2 in AEB-L. Was thinking of all 3 in magnacut but just couldn't decide. Liked the toughness of the AEB-L though.

Only two options and it took me way too long to decide on a steel! 😂 One of mine will be Prevalini as well, unless David convinces me to go up one size.

Now the painful part - pruning designs off the run to make sure the overhead costs are manageable. Some of the designs I'm cutting are ones I really wanted to do, but I have to be responsible. Since this is my largest run yet, it would be all too easy to have eyes bigger than my stomach, as the man said.

There are some legitimately awesome designs I see David Mary David Mary

The ultralight sheepsfoot keeps looking at me. If it's 9 inches (4 blade, 5 handle) or above, I'm so down!

Thank you for the kind words, el gigantor el gigantor ! I put rulers in the pics of each design in their respective Pre Order threads, so that everyone can see their sizes, both length and height. The one you referred to is smaller than that, sorry.

My bad! Just got off work, my eyes are all blurry and tired. Still, I really like what I'm seeing here.

el gigantor el gigantor if I may make a suggestion, the EDC Universal 2 would be better suited to what you are looking for. Note that the blade shape, although 5", is set up for maximum customizability, so I could make a 4" sheepsfoot out of it for you. The handle is just about 4 1/4" long. The EDC Universal 1 is already 4" with a slightly smaller handle.

As you can see, what you are asking will not be a problem. Handle is is not quite 5", but just a hair under 4 1/4", and with a fob, even André the Giant would have had something for his pinky to grab a hold of. That's from the EDC Universal 2. And heck if I don't want one for myself now.... thanks a lot. 🤣

For anyone still looking at reserving a blade from the run, I've updated the pre-order threads to indicate which models or, alloy iterations thereof, didn't make the cut this time around.
