Well, my BK15 came in, and boy is this thing tiny (that's what she said).

It is a comfortable knife and light as hell!! I could easily EDC this with my Little Beckers.

BK5 is next, along with Kydex and scales for this knife and 3 others. I am very impressed with Becker, again. I will strip it more than likely, but I haven't decided yet.

Think it's kind of normal size really, the others just make it seem small. Unfortunately, the handles are way too small for me.

Congrats on the new steel. I absolutely love my 15.

Btw, the first pic was a lifesaver. I just ordered a 14 to replace my Rat1 for EDC and have been trying to find a good side by side pic with a 15 to compare the size properly.

Glad I could help. :)

You're right, it is a normal sized knife, but it seems so much smaller than some of my other knives. I see what you mean about the handles, but the intended purpose of this knife (tacticool kitchen ninja-ing) it is pretty good. I will be ordering another set of scales for it though, as I feel like it needs more of palm swell.

I hear ya. I'm gonna get my wife a 15 as well, for food prep on the trail.

The 15 is so much more than most people think. I think you could pair it or the 16 with the 9 and take care of all kinds if business.

Congrats on the new addition!

Yeah, the 15 is a sweet blade. I got the chance to take it out of the kitchen and to the woods this past weekend. Along with the Beast and a14. Made some spear's for hotdogs and marshmallows. Successfully started two, 1 match fires and split some logs just for kicks. We were having so much fun recycling aluminum cans :D that I didn't get any pictures of the knifework. I guess I'll have to go back this weekend.

Congrats on the new steel.

can you post a pic of the larger bk held in the same grip as the first pic? I'm looking at getting a Ritter RSK MK2 b/c my tweener is just too small with my winter gloves on.
Thanks

Haven't had a becker in a while, this one kinda tickles me, reminds me of mini-magnum camp.

The 15 is one of my favorite knives. Yeah, it's small compared to the 3,4,7,9, but is a great camp and skinning knife. Most people think it's huge, since they are comparing it to a SAK or grandpa's old Case knife.

I think they feel great in the hand, but after carrying my 17 for a little while I found it to be a bit big for edc, I would prefer a 14 for that. The tweeners are kind of like the subcompact Glock 26/27, at first they feel small enough for EDC but then you realize there are better options. At least that was my experience; I think a different sheath could completely change that.

Definitely. Unfortunately, the 15 is too long for me to EDC legally. So, I have the 14 on my hip at all times. The 15 feels awesome in hand and would server amazingly as a fighting knife. Take yesterday for example. I had to fight off a roving band of zucchini, onions and tomatoes. With the 15, I came out unscathed.

That ... was close ! Keep your guard up, though; they'll be back with friends.

Forced a white vinegar patina on the BK15 and now it looks almost as dark as the factory coating.
